Mohamed Salah Banned From Driving For 6 Months In UK After Rolls-Royce Speeding Case

Former Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been banned from driving for six months in England after his Rolls-Royce was caught speeding in Cheshire earlier this year.

According to court documents, the electric Rolls-Royce Spectre registered to Salah was captured by a speed camera travelling at 36mph in a 30mph zone in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on March 27, 2026. The incident happened just two days after Salah announced he would leave Liverpool after nine years at the club.

Why Salah Was Banned

Salah was prosecuted for failing to identify who was behind the wheel when the speeding offence occurred. He did not respond to two notices sent to his mansion and did not enter a plea. The case was heard at Warrington Combined Court under the Single Justice Procedure.

“The court found him guilty of failing to provide information relating to the identification of the driver and imposed a six-month disqualification and a total fine of £1,044.”

The penalty includes a £660 fine, £120 court costs and £264 victim surcharge. The initial speeding allegation was later withdrawn, but the failure to identify the driver led to the conviction.

Salah Shines With Hat-Trick For Trabzonspor

The ban comes just days after Salah produced a stunning performance for his new club Trabzonspor. The 34-year-old scored a hat-trick and provided an assist as Trabzonspor thrashed Galatasaray 4-0 in the Turkish Super Lig.

Salah joined Trabzonspor on a free transfer in August 2026 after scoring 257 goals in 442 appearances for Liverpool. He has now scored seven goals in eight appearances for the Turkish side and became the first Trabzonspor player to score a hat-trick against Galatasaray, breaking a record previously linked to former Super Eagles star Anthony Nwakaeme.

What This Means For Salah

This is not Salah’s first motoring offence in England. In 2022, he was fined and given three penalty points after speeding in his Ferrari. In 2018, he was also pictured using a phone while driving near Anfield. He will now serve the six-month UK ban while continuing his career in Turkey.

M2NICE Analysis: This story combines off-field drama and on-field brilliance, which is why Salah is trending today. Nigerian fans know Salah as a top African icon and Liverpool legend. While the UK driving ban will not affect his football in Turkey, his hat-trick against Galatasaray shows he is still at the top level at 34. This dual angle will drive both sports and entertainment traffic.
