Chieftain of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Buba Galadima, has said the outcome of the 2027 presidential election is known only to God and President Bola Tinubu.
Galadima spoke on Channels Television's Politics Today on Thursday, September 24, 2026, while discussing the prospects of the Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso presidential ticket ahead of 2027.
"Only God and Tinubu knows what will happen in this election," Galadima said.
Obi and Kwankwaso Will Win If Election Is Free - Galadima
Despite his doubts about the fairness of the poll, Galadima expressed confidence in the NDC ticket, saying Peter Obi and Kwankwaso will win if the election is conducted freely, fairly and credibly.
He alleged that there have been coordinated attacks on opposition politicians and supporters, citing incidents in Enugu, Benue and Kaduna.
"Peter Obi and Kwankwaso will win this election if it is free, fair, and credible unless there is someone with a machinery willing to take it away from them," he said.
Galadima Calls Obi-Kwankwaso Ticket Healing Ticket
The NDC chieftain dismissed suggestions that divisions within the party could weaken the ticket, insisting that Obi and Kwankwaso are united and working closely together.
"They are on the same page, they are close to each other, every minute, every hour, everyday," he said.
He described the combination as a "healing ticket" for Nigeria, saying both politicians complement each other and offer a united government.
"We are running a single ticket of prominent, experienced Nigerians; this is our game. Obi and Kwankwaso complement each other in every move," Galadima added.
M2NICE Editorial Note: Galadima's comment is coming at a time when opposition parties are forming alliances ahead of 2027. His statement that only God and Tinubu know what will happen has sparked debate about the credibility of the upcoming election.
