From Jerusalem, Plateau-based cleric Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo has cried out over killings in Plateau State and prayed for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government to have victory over insecurity.
The Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi, who is currently in Israel for a Christian advocacy tour, made the declaration while addressing an international gathering of preachers and prayer warriors from America, China and other nations.
What Dachomo Said In Israel
Speaking from Israel, Rev Dachomo said he is standing in the gap for Nigeria and praying for the country to overcome bloodshed and terrorism. He said he is praying for all victims — Muslims killed in Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto and Katsina, Christians killed in Plateau and the Middle Belt, and for peace across Africa.
He specifically declared prayers for President Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang to succeed against insecurity.
“Praying for my government, Bola Tinubu. Praying for my governor, Mutfwang in Plateau State, and praying, let God give them victory, Taraba. African nations, South Africa, we are praying for Ghana and the rest of the countries that are in Africa.” - Rev Ezekiel Dachomo
He added, “Today, I am in Israel praying for Nigeria, our leaders, and our people. I believe in miracles, and I believe God can change what looks impossible. Within the next four days, may God open doors, bring healing, provide help, restore hope, and answer your heart’s desires according to His perfect will.”
Address To World Leaders Over Plateau Killings
Rev Dachomo told the international gathering that he came to Israel to raise his voice about what he described as ongoing killings and persecution in Plateau State. He said, “By the mercy of God, I will be addressing the world in Israel. I am coming to stand for Nigeria.”
This is not the first time the cleric has raised alarm. In a previous attack, he cried out after 23 people were killed in a midnight attack in Binper, Plateau State, and asked for urgent help. According to reports by Daily Post and Tribune Online, the cleric arrived in Israel on Friday, October 2, 2026, and is expected to seek audience with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to draw attention to insecurity in Nigeria.
He also prayed for Netanyahu, his cabinet and the Israel Defence Forces, asking God to grant them victory over their enemies. He prayed against what he described as satanic influence in leadership, quoting Matthew 15:13: “Whatever Satan has planted in the leadership, be uprooted.”
Why He Went To Israel
Rev Dachomo has been vocal about attacks in Plateau, where he said nine members of his extended family were killed in July 2026 in Riyom LGA. He said he also received threats after speaking out, and that three people were recently killed in his community.
He explained that after US President Donald Trump spoke about killings in Nigeria, it became necessary to take the advocacy to Israel and meet global Christian leaders to amplify the call for intervention in Plateau and other troubled states. His continued advocacy follows several deadly incidents in the state, including the Binper midnight attack that claimed 23 lives, where he had earlier appealed for help.
M2NICE Editorial Note: From Israel, Rev Dachomo’s core message is twofold: a cry for global attention over Plateau killings and a prayer for the Tinubu government to secure victory over insecurity. His reference to past attacks like Binper shows the pattern of violence that pushed him to internationalize his advocacy.
